Confessions

Good news I am recovering, bad news I am homesick after the phone call with all the scrabblers at Magnetic Island.

Larissa has secretly organized a fund raising for me which raised $1,150 which is an awesome effort and I am extremely grateful and was very teary last night when told of this.  Thank you all so very much. At the moment I think I will put it towards an arm / leg exercise bike from www.motomed.com

Most of last week was spent sleeping coughing and occasionally sitting in the sun.  Whenever I do this I get someone to remove the driving splint to give my arm a rest.  Lately I have some done some driving without the splint which is great.

Last week I was parked in front of the garden beds at the bottom of the ramp and decided to practice driving without the splint unfortunately I knocked the chair into reverse once the drive wheels are in the garden bed and got bogged. My efforts at extrication only succeeded in digging a bigger hole.  Fortunately Stacy the nurse and Val managed to drag the chair out "very embarrassing"

This morning we had a demonstration from www.automobility.com.au on their modified vehicles pretty good but maybe I should reconsider driving after the garden bed incident :-)

This afternoon will be my first physio in over 3 weeks wish me luck.

  2. Hi Jules
I had to laugh at your driving incident. Some things never change. I remember you driving Ky & I around when we were still at high school. We opened a window & your glasses fogged up so we almost ended up going across a median strip.
Good luck with the physio! It must be really hard work for you. You're really missed up here. Looking forward to you getting let out on parole soon.
    Love, Tracey Rossato xx

  3. Hi Julie

I hope the flu has gone now and your physio went well. I spoke to my parents last night, they are in Crete at the moment, they asked how you are getting on and wished to be remembered to you, and they said there is always a bed out there for you and wished you well in your recovery.

    Love Sarah.xx
